BelAgro-2024

In the period from 4 to 9 June 2024, the Scientific and Practical Center of NAS of Belarus for Animal Breeding (hereinafter - the Center) took an active part in the 34th International Specialized Exhibition Belagro-2024, which was held in the Exhibition Center of the Great Stone China-Belarus industrial park.

The Center widely presented developments in the field of creation of red Belarusian cattle (a promising model of breeding and selection in Belarus), artificial insemination in pig breeding (Belspermextender), transgenesis in animal breeding (human lactoferrin biosimilar), dairy cattle housing technology (polymer floor covering for stalls), the use of promising devices for "smart" farms (a device for diagnosing pre-mastitis in the udder of lactating cows, digital boluses - individual monitoring systems for cattle), feeding (protein-vitamin-mineral and phytogenic additives for farm animals), etc.

The Center's developments were supported by visual information in the form of leaflets and booklets, as well as videos. It was also possible to visit the farm and see some of the developments in action through virtual reality glasses.

The tasting of meat products (lard, boiled and fried meat) from pigs of Belarusian meat and Belarusian large white breeds, as well as milk of cows of the red breed being created and milk of goats producing human lactoferrin was held on a permanent basis. The exhibition was in great demand among the visitors, which ensured high attendance of our Center's stand.

The stand was visited by: Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus V.G. Gusakov, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus P.P. Kazakevich, former Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission M.V. Myasnikovich, General Director of OJSC Babushkina Krynka E.V. Oreshko, Director of OJSC MogNat Company S.A. Avchinnikov.

Negotiations were held with S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University (KATRU) (Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Technology). The Protocol of Intentions in the sphere of scientific cooperation was concluded.

Within the framework of the exhibition the republican scientific-practical conference “Agrarian education and science for agroindustrial complex” and the I International scientific-practical conference “Agroindustrial complex in the conditions of innovative development: science, technologies, staffing” took place, which was also attended by employees of our Center.

According to the results of the exhibition, the Center was awarded the 1st degree diploma of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus and Minskexpo.
